Hello!
My name is Tyclee Lochridge. I am the new teacher at NOD. I am certified to teach early childhood education.
This school year marks my fifth year as a teacher! I come from a Montessori background, and I am excited to bring some of my experiences into our classroom. I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners. I have built a curriculum, which focuses on play based learning. I strive to create a community that nurtures growth and curiosity. We will have many themes throughout the year but here’s a few I’d like to highlight:
1. Respect of the children
2. Belief that children are competent and capable of independence
3. Children have control over their learning
4. Belief that children learn through their senses and play
Personally, I am engaged with my partner and have one fantastic four year old! We love to go to parks, beaches, restaurants, and travel. I also enjoy reading, cooking, music, and spending time with friends and family.
